Additional Educational Needs

The progress of all pupils is monitored throughout the year through a process of formal testing, assessment, reviews and reports. Our aim is to ensure that prompt intervention strategies are put in place when deemed necessary.

Mr Murphy is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. Mr Murphy ensures those pupils on the SEN register receive their statutory school educational plan, and are continually supported and nurtured from year 8 to Year 12.

Additional Educational Needs Programme

Specialists in English and Mathematics are involved in supporting teaching and learning in the classroom. Our aim is to maximise the learning opportunities of all pupils.

Those pupils identified as having an additional educational need will benefit from Individual Education Plans drawn up according to the recommendations for their statement of need. The School follows the requirements of the SEN Code of Practice.
